Roy Emerson Wormington

Roy Emerson Wormington, 38, of Pierce City, passed away Feb. 14, 2019, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Wormington was born in Springfield, Sept. 18, 1980, to Roy Sr. and Marie (Welsandt) Wormington.  Wormington served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved farming and plumbing.
Surviving are the following: son, Shane Wormington of Rogers, Ark.; mother, Marie Wormington of Pierce City; sisters, Sheila Crudup of Richmond, Va., Jeannette Wormington of Neosho, Belinda Kellerman of Forsyth, Rose Prier of Verona, Becky Franklin of Wichita, Kan., Rowena Werth of Wichita, Kan., Tammy Werdenauason of Osage Beach, Betty Jo Newbrough of West Virginia, and Diana Schoutz; brothers, Eugene F. Clapper of Fredericksburg, Va.; Rick Wormington of Mountain Grove, Roger Wormington of Pittsburg, Kan., and David Wormington of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial service at Lakin Funeral Home, and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
