Savory Sausage Bread
The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Savory Sausage Bread by Christine Cordova
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 lb. cooked sausage
3 cups biscuit mix
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese, divided
2 T. finely chopped onion
2 T. butter, melted
In a large bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Add the cooked sausage, biscuit mix, 1 cup cheese, and onion. Stir until blended.
Spoon into two greased 9” round baking pans. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Drizzle with the melted butter.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
