Shop till you drop in Mt. Vernon at Holiday Shop Hop

Local businesses unite for day of Christmas community commerce
 
About 12 Mt. Vernon businesses are teaming up to encourage shoppers to visit their stores during the “Holiday Shop Hop” event on Saturday, Dec. 5.
Pam Dudley, executive director of the Mt. Vernon Area Chamber of Commerce, said the event was the brain child of Nancy Venable, owner of Hodge Podge Paisley by Nancy.
During the event, shoppers will have a chance to enter a drawing to win a gift basket valued at $275. Dudley said the basket has several items from local businesses taking part in the event.
“You stop at each location, and for every one you stop at, you get one chance towards the basket,” Dudley said. “So, the more places you go, the better your chances are of winning it.”
The gift basket is currently being housed at Hodge Podge Paisley.
