Stanley “Stan” J. Kahre, 60, of Monett passed away Oct. 5, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Kahre was the son of William and Agnes (Cahalan) Kahre. He was married to Therese Tate in 1999. He was a graduate of the Pierce City High School class of 1977. Kahre worked many years as a meat cutter. He  was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed driving around the countryside looking for deer. He was a member of the Decatur Lodge #400 in Pierce City, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield.
He is survived by the following: his wife of Monett; brother, Steve Kahre of Aurora; and mother, Agnes Kahre of Pierce City; and a host of family.
Masonic Services were held at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City Oct. 9, 2019 with a prayer service that followed. Funeral Mass was held Oct. 10, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora. Burial followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
