Steve E. Coy

Steve E. Coy, 62, of rural Wentworth, passed away Oct. 11, 2018. Coy was born Nov. 2, 1955, in Burlingame, Calif. to the late Donald H. and Wilma L. (Tanner) Coy. The family moved from California to Missouri when Steve was at a young age. He attended East Newton Schools and later Crowder College. Coy worked for a clothing manufacturer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball in his younger years. He was married to Millicent “Mickey” Hagebusch. She preceded him in death.
Coy is survived by: his children, Shane Coy, of Nixa and Shannon (Tim) Rice of Pierce City; two grandchildren of Pierce City; brothers, Tom (Mary) Coy of Wentworth and Frank (Jacy) Coy of Pierce City. He was also preceded in death by: brother, Jeffrey Lynn Coy; sisters, Brenda Lee Coy and Elizabeth Ann Coy.
His wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
