STEVEN DALE BROWN

Steven Dale Brown, 76, of Ash Grove passed away on July 17, 2025. He was born in Aurora on Oct. 24, 1948; son of Donald and Lucy Brown.
He was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in agribusiness and economics from Southwest Missouri State College. He served from 1970 until 1976 in the U.S. Air Force, where he was stationed in the Azores and Guam during the Vietnam conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Coreen Brown; two daughters, Carrie Ragsdale of Billings and Beth (Shawn) Eggleston of Ozark; five grandchildren; one step-daughter, Whitney Corbin; three step-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Joann) Brown of Greenfield and Kent (Katie) Brown of Jefferson City.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Ann Brown; his parents; and nephew, Aaron Brown.
A graveside service, under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, was held on Saturday, July 26, at Summit Cemetery northeast of Mt. Vernon. Services were officiated by his brother and Pastor David Brown.
