THOMAS GENE PORTER

Thomas Gene Porter, 90, of rural Pierce City, Missouri passed from this life peacefully on Sunday morning, January 19, 2025. Tom, as he was called by most, was born  in Malden, Missouri on August 19, 1934; the son of the late Robert and Lucille Porter.
Tom was a veteran of the United States Navy, an over-the-road truck driver and a local delivery driver in Monett.
On January 18, 1975, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Tom married Debbie Lee Holle. They were blessed with 50 years of many wonderful memories made together until her passing on December 15, 2024.
Tom is survived by his son, Mark Porter; his step-son, Steve Terry; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Steve Graves; sister-in-law, Sue Holle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Preceding Tom in death were his parents, Robert and Lucille Porter; and his wife, Debbie Porter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Reverend Jake Sletten will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church Radio Broadcast.
