Wanda Hicklin

Wanda Hicklin, 81, of Mt. Vernon passed away Dec. 11, 2018. Hicklin was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Mt. Vernon, she was a lifetime resident and worked as a bookkeeper for Blevins Asphalt as well as various businesses in town. Hicklin attended the First Christian Church of Carthage and the First Baptist church in Mt. Vernon.
She was married to James Buffington in 1954, he preceded her in death in 1987, She was united in marriage to Robert Hicklin in 2000 and he survives.
Hicklin is survived by: daughter, Alesha Williams of Neosho; son, James “Terry” (Susan) Buffington of Mt. Vernon; brother, Stanley (Betty) Marsh of Mt. Vernon; four granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.
Services were held Dec. 15, 2018, at The First Christian Church “Disciples of Christ” in Mt. Vernon. Online condolences may be made to www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
