WELDON REID SWINDLE

Weldon Reid Swindle, 82, of Washburn passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025. He was born in Diamond on June 19, 1942; the son of Ormund Swindle and Mary Elanor (Paris) Swindle.
He was a graduate of Southwest High School in Washburn. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and later built a life in the Washburn area. He worked in the maintenance department at Southwest Schools in Washburn. He was a member of the Washburn Church of Christ.
On June 23, 1966 he married Linda Morgan in Donalsonville, Ga.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda; one son, Chris Swindle of Washburn; one daughter, Karri (Craig) Renfrow of Rogers, Ark. and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gregory Swindle and sisters, Mary Carr and Laree Yates.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at Hickman Cemetery west of Washburn. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.  Skip Gray conducted the services.
