Wilma Colleen Enochs

Wilma Colleen Enochs, 73, of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, at her home. She was born Aug. 20, 1952, in Stotts City, the daughter of Edgar Clinton and Dorothy Marie (Pope) Huff.
She was a 1970 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and worked at Schrieber Foods and Mid Am in Mt. Vernon. She loved scrapbooking, taking trips with her sisters and was a member of the Mt. Vernon Church of Christ. She and her husband, James Taylor, were also foster parents.
She married James Taylor in March of 1983, and he preceded her in death in Sept. 2002. On Oct. 1, 2004, she married Rodney William Enochs, in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Rodney; one son, Joseph McKinzie and his wife, Tracy, of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Jenny Groves and her husband, David, of Ash Grove, and Janetta Rose and her husband, Kevin, of Park, Colo.; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two stepsons, Michael Enochs of Lead Hill, Ark. and Matthew (Jessica) Enochs of Mt. Vernon; one stepdaughter, Evonne (Nick) Souders, of Mt. Vernon; ten step-grandchildren; four sisters; two sisters-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Taylor; one grandson, Marty Groves; two brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Huff and two brothers-in-law, Jim Merritt and Randy Stirewalt.
A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon. Burial followed at the Union Cemetery at Stotts City. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, in the funeral home chapel.
