Winfred (Win) Darwin Mullenix

Winfred (Win) Darwin Mullenix of Monett died at home after struggling with multiple health issues. Because of COVID 19, he will have a memorial service in the spring of 2021 at Holiday Island Presbyterian Church, Holiday Island, Ark. where as an ordained elder, he spent many hours worshipping and working.
He was born in Fletcher, Okla. on May 14, 1942. He attended Oklahoma State University and earned his accounting degree from Wichita State University. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1963, and served at Aberdeen Proving Ground, ML. for two years and discharged as SP4.
Following his service, he worked for Coleman Companies then Beech Aircraft in Wichita, Kan. where he retired after 27 years.
Retirement was at Table Rock Lake, in Eagle Rock.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Karen; sister, Glenda Sue Lakin, Kan.; daughters, Stacha Duffy, Henderson, Nev.; Shannon Shafer, Westville, Okla.; Robyn Lewis, Centerton, Ark.; Lori Daniels, Lowell, Ark.; stepdaughters, Jennifer Wann, The Villages, Fla.; Joelle Sanders, Wentzville; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Erma Mullenix and sister, Soundra Kay Mullenix.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
