The Xi Lambda Zeta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi has named Mt. Vernon’s Marsha Jones their 2025 Valentine Queen. In a press release announcing the honor, Jones is celebrated as hard working, kind and volunteers her time for others through multiple organizations.

An Aurora High School industrial arts teacher was arrested on Friday, Jan. 31, after he was accused of having inappropriate contact with one of his female students during her senior year in high school. Kyle Doss, 32, is charged with having sexual contact with a student, a Class E felony.
