The Mt. Vernon volleyball team has jumped out to a slow start this season sitting at just 2-5 after a tough early schedule. However, they were faced with a fantastic opportunity to kickstart the rest of their season as they hosted the October Aces tournament on Saturday.

Miller is just a Class 1 school. However, if you look at their volleyball schedule, you will mistake them for a Class 5 power. Not only are they playing schools that are bigger than they are, but they are also playing bigger schools with very good volleyball traditions and teams this year.

Tied with 12 seconds to go, Mt’Neers pull out win against highly touted Cassville squad
The Mt. Vernon Mt’neers defeated the Cassville Wildcats during their first varsity football game of the 2020 season on Friday, Aug. 28 at Mt’neer Stadium.
