Benny Joe Bloomer

Benny Joe Bloomer, age 79, of Miller, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord August 28, 2019, in Miller, Missouri, at his home. Benny was born in Morrisville, Missouri to Muriel Hadley Bloomer and Dorothy Faye (Gilliam) Bloomer Hillhouse on September 3, 1939.
He attended Walnut Grove High School and graduated in 1957. He went on to earn his Barber License in Kansas City in 1961. Benny later worked for Paul Mueller Company in Springfield, MO. In 1987, Benny went on to become the Founder and President of Stainless Steel Ltd., in Miller, MO.
Benny married the love of his life, Polly Ann (Payne), on October 12th, 1957. Benny and Polly were married just shy of 62 years. Benny and Polly were blessed with three children, Joetta (Rick) Bolin, of Mt. Vernon, Allen (Anita) Bloomer, of Miller, and Trish (Willy) Hendrix, of Miller. Benny and Polly had 9 grandchildren, Dustin (Hannah) Bloomer of, Miller, Holly (Caleb) Dorsey, of Miller, Dallas (Bri) Bloomer of, Miller, Hunter Hendrix, of Springfield, Jared Hendrix, of Miller, Trista Hendrix, of Miller, Brittany Bolin, of Mt. Vernon, Elijah Bolin, of Mt. Vernon, and Isaiah Bolin, of Mt. Vernon. Great Grandchildren include Paisley, Presley, Oakley, Carmen, and Braylee.
Benny is survived by his loving wife, Polly of the home; Sister, Sandra (Carlos) Cook, of Mt. Vernon, Sister, Aileen Keith, of Ash Grove, Nieces, Nephews, and several other friends and family members.
Benny was preceded to death by his Father, Muriel Bloomer, Mother, Dorothy Hillhouse, Stepfather, Hollis Hillhouse, Brother, Bud Bloomer, and Sister, Kathleen.
Benny enjoyed attending Miller First Baptist Church, fishing, camping, farming, and visiting with friends at the café. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Benny will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 6:00 to 8;00 p.m. at the Miller First Baptist Church , Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Miller First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Miller, MO, following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Benny requested memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
His arrangements have been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home DeGraffenreid-Wood-Crematory, Springfield, MO.
