BRENDA SUE ELLIOTT

Brenda Sue Elliott, 72, of Marionville passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at her daughter’s home. She was born in Gunnison, Colo. on May 2, 1952; the daughter of Burl and Hazel (Goin) Applegate.
She was a 1971 graduate of Republic High School. She spent the majority of her career in food service management at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Silver Dollar City and Table Rock Nursing Home.
She is survived by one daughter, Brelenda “Suzi Young" Carnelison of Republic; one son, Charles “Matt” Carnelison of Marionville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lenda  (Louie) Shepard and Renda (Danny) Hill; two brothers, Gary (Kathleen) Applegate  and David Applegate; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Don, Bob, Sonny and Roy Lee Applegate and one sister, Dorothy McGinnis.
Services were held on Saturday, March 22, at the Halltown Baptist Church. Burial was at the Garoutte Cemetery in Republic. Arrangements were entrusted to the care and direction of Williams Funeral Home in Marionville.
