Chili Franks and Beans
The Record’s “Recipe of the Week”:
Chili Franks and Beans by Pauline Gartin
16 oz. pkg. frankfurters
Two 16 oz. cans pork and beans
1 T. minced onion
1 T. chili powder
1 T. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 2-qt. casserole dish.
With a sharp knife, cut each frankfurter crosswise into 3 pieces. Cut an “X” about 3/4” deep in both ends of each piece.
In a large bowl, combine the frankfurters with the remaining ingredients. Pour into the prepared casserole dish.
Bake 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Makes 8 servings.
