Darlene Sue Hensley

Darlene Sue Hensley, 77, of Monett passed away May 1, 2021, at her home.
Hensley was born on Sept. 22, 1943 in Lyons, Kan., daughter of the late Cecil D. Maxwell and Norma J. Maxwell. Hensley grew up in Lyons and graduated from Lyons High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monett.
On Aug. 13, 1960 in Fontana, Calif., she married Terry Duane Hensley. To this union, three children were born. They were blessed with over 60 years together until his passing on Jan. 15, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria Sue Brown; her parents and several other extended family members.
Hensley is survived by son, Terry Joe (Clara) Hensley of Lyons, Kan.; daughter, Lisa June (Daniel) Graf of Middleton, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Rick Hensley; sister-in-law, Louise Hensley and a host of extended family and friends.
Memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at First United Methodist Church, Monett. Memorials have been suggested to Monett Community Outreach (Food Pantry) in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
