Dollie M. Gideon

Dollie M. Gideon, 89, of Galena passed away Oct. 13, 2018, at Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare in Crane. She was born Aug. 17, 1929, to George W. and Eva M. (Ayres) Kenyon.
She married Earl A. Gideon in 1945. He preceded her in death in 2006, after 61 years. She was a resident of Galena and Stone County most of her adult life. She raised eight children and spent her life loving and enjoying her family, raising big gardens and spending her days in her many flower gardens.
Gideon is survived by: children, Virginia Devereaux (Joe) of Aurora, Ted Gideon (Deb) of Highlandville, Mary Sutterfield of Lebanon, Martha Smith (Jerry) of Aurora, Peggy Coates (Lee) of Highlandville, Wanda Luney (Bill) of Crane, Betty Baker (Terry G.) of Galena and Tim Gideon (Ruby) of Reeds Spring; sister, Ida Mae Robertson of Taneyville; brother, Gene Kenyon (Pat) of Omaha, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation was held Oct. 15, 2018, in Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Crane. Funeral services were held Oct. 16, 2018, in First Baptist Church in Crane. Burial was in Galena Cemetery, under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Crane.
