Edna Nathalene Hoskins

Edna Nathalene Hoskins, 81, of Miller, passed away at 10:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on Oct. 5, 1944, in California, the daughter of Nathan Eli and Esther Irene (Ridens) Ellison.
She was a farmer, but most importantly a Sunday school teacher of children and attended Mt. Vernon Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Vernon. Her greatest joy in life was teaching children about God’s love.
On Dec. 19, 1961, she married Kenneth Leroy Hoskins, in Turlock, Calif. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2008.
Hoskins is survived by her four children, Dale Hoskins and his wife, Jenny, of Hillsboro, Ore.; Kevin Hoskins and his wife, Lisa, of Mt. Vernon; Tammy Dinwiddie of New Philadelphia, Ohio; and John Hoskins; as well as her five grandchildren.
Hoskins was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan, and Irene; her husband, Kenneth; one sister, Alice Mitchell and two brothers, Ralph and Paul Ellison.
A graveside service under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, was at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at Miller Memorial Gardens in Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Mt. Vernon Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home.
