Eugene D. Kelley

Eugene D. Kelley, 98, of Aurora, passed away, Sept. 2, 2019 in the Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield.
He was born to John and Lula Avery Kelley Oct. 20, 1920 in Brave Heart, Okla. He was a retired diesel mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII.
Survivors include: daughters, P.J. Kelley of Aurora, Colo. and Pamela (Roger) Cox of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Elda; sons, Roger and Tommy Kelley; brothers, Lee, Otis, Virgil, Howard, Floyd, Ralph and Robert Kelley; and sisters, Lula Kunze, Mae Webb, Katherine Stewart and Nancy Crow.
Funeral services were held Sept. 7 in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery with full military honors.
