Glenn Dean Clapp

Glenn Dean Clapp, 86, of Pierce City, passed away Aug. 27, 2019, at Bentonview Park Health and Rehabilitation in Monett. Clapp was born in Mt. Vernon, June 15, 1933, to Clifford and Lura (Capps) Clapp. He married Bobby Thomas and she preceded him in death. He retired from Carnation Milk Company where he worked in both Neosho and Mt. Vernon. He also built houses, put in air conditioners, and owned a plumbing shop in Mt. Vernon. Clapp thoroughly enjoyed dancing. He also called for bingo for several years at the VFW. He was a member of Monett VFW.
Surviving are the following: his caregiver for several years, Geneva Brown of Pierce City; one daughter; one sister; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Bobby; and a brother.
There will be a private service at a later date. Clapp was cremated at his request. Arrangements have been entrusted to the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home of Pierce City. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lakinfuneralhome.com.
