The Aurora Houn’ Dawgs are riding high following a Crane Tournament Championship a couple weeks ago and they continued to roll last week with another pair of wins extending their win streak to four. They traveled to Nevada, Tuesday and won a low scoring battle, 49-36. They wrapped up the week in Conway as they beat the Bears, 65-36, Friday. Their strong play helped them secure the 3-seed in the District 12 tournament. They will open the postseason at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 against host Seneca.
The Running Dawgs are now 18-7 with one final regular season test against Cassville, Tuesday for Senior Night.

Lady Houn’s
The Lady Houn’s split last week defeating McDonald County, 60-42, Monday before falling to one of the best in the Big 8, Seneca in a tough battle. The Lady Indians ultimately came out on top, 55-48. Aurora received the 4-seed in the District 12 girl’s tournament and will take on Lamar at 1 p.m. Feb. 26 in Seneca. A win over Lamar will set up a rematch with Seneca in the semifinals.
The Lady Houn’s sit at 12-13 on the season. They celebrated Senior Night, Monday as Cassville came to town in their final regular season contest. They will return to action Saturday for districts.
