Jacquetta Mary Rhodes, 103, of Marionville passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her home. She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Crane, the daughter of Edward Charles and Audie Gertrude (Gipson) Spears.
She was raised in Hurley and was a 1937 graduate of Hurley High School.
On March 24, 1938, she married Ray Amos Rhodes in Marionville. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Marionville and she was a bookkeeper for MWM Color Press in Aurora.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Vicki) Rhodes of Battlefield; two daughters, Sharon VanTuyl of White House, Tenn. and Ann Stanton of Springfield; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parent; her husband, Ray; son-in-law, DeWayne VanTuyl and great-granddaughter, Haleigh Stanton.
Visitation and services were held on Saturday, March 16, at First Baptist Church of Marionville under the direction of Williams Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
