Janice Paulette Franklin

Janice Paulette Franklin, 82, of Sarcoxie, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. 

She was born on June 13, 1944, in Miller. 

She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, with her bachelor’s degree and then she attended UMKC in

Kansas City, where she received her Law Degree.

She started working as an Attorney at Legal Aid of Western Missouri in Feb. 1984 before retiring in Aug. 2015.

She is survived by her son, Paul Bowman (Tina Hendrix) of Sarcoxie; two sisters, Sue Parnell (Jimmy Parnell) of Miller.

and Mitzi Kilby of Neosho, one brother, Rick Cameron (Schyrlet Cameron) of Miller; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents; James William Ernest and Bonnie Ruth Nida Cameron, one son; James Kappler.

Arrangements have been made entrusted to Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery and Crematory, Joplin.
