Jimmie D. Owens

Jimmie D. Owens, 69, of Webb City, passed away Aug. 27, 2019 in Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
He was born to Isaac and Leavina Henson Owens Oct. 1, 1949 in Aurora. He was a retired supervisor for Shade Tree and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: son, Jamie (Tiffany) Owens of Carl Junction; daughter, Laurie (Dustin) Robertson of Springfield; brothers, Mike (Toni) Owens of London, Ark., Phil (Roxanne) Owens and Ernie (Starla) Owens both Aurora; sisters, Linda (Spike) Jones of Aurora and Donna Clark of Sache, Texas; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Cindy.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. in Maple Park Cemetery with full military honors under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Memorials  may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
