JIMMY FRANK HARTIN

Jimmy Frank Hartin, 89, of Marionville passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. He was born July 3, 1934, to Montgomery and Tressie (Clevenger) Hartin.
He attended Scholten school until the eighth grade then worked a variety of farming and labor jobs until enlisting in the United States military. He served three years as a sergeant in active duty, including a deployment to South Korea during the Korean War, and was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal.
He married Elaine (Winzer) Hartin on Sept. 8, 1962. In addition to some years at the MWM Color Press in Aurora, he worked as a semi-truck driver most of his adult life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Bob, Dalphie, and Gene Hartin; three sisters: Ruth Bailey, Jane Weldy, and Joann Dalton; and two other siblings who passed away at birth.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; his two daughters, Rhonda Hartin of Springfield and Debbie Ray of Aurora; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lois Weldy of Aurora, Peggy (Jack) Miller of Verona, and Reva Ledbetter of Nashua, N.H.; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 27, at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins,  under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
