JOHNNIE DOUGLAS BOLTON

Johnnie Douglas Bolton, 87, of Cassville passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was born in Cassville on Oct. 24, 1937; the son of Stephen Douglas Bolton and Myrtle Irene Richardson.
On July 1, 1959, he married Mary Lou Hargus in Perry Hickman’s house in Washburn. They celebrated 65 years together last July.
He received his education at Oak Ridge rural school, east of Cassville. He worked many jobs over the years including: McGruder Handle Factory in Wayne, Bryant Well Drilling in Cassville, Forest Products in Cassville, Vollenweider Orchard in Exeter, FASCO in Cassville, Baker and Seely in Cassville and as a janitor for Cassville Schools from where he retired. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Carolyn (Dennis) Noland of Cassville and Theresa (Jess) Huesties of Rocky Comfort; one son, Jeff (Michelle) Bolton of Cassville; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Beulah Terry of Cassville, Hazel (Jerry) Harvey of Rocky Comfort and Mary Ann (Pat) Horner of Cassville; one brother, Ted (Fran) Bolton of Cassville and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Connie Willis; twin sisters, Iona Faye and Lona Maye; and two brothers, Steve and Larry Bolton.
Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, also at the funeral home. Brother Billy Chesshir and Pastor Russell Bishop will conduct the services. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville.
