JOSEPHINE “JODIE” MARIE MOORE

Josephine “Jodie” Marie Moore, 76, of Monett passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023. She was born on March 9, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of the late John Marion Eldridge and Josephine Rosalee (Macelli) Eldridge.
Her family moved around to several states when she was young, but she finally settled in Monett. She had worked for many years at Jumping Jack Shoe Company and then retired from FASCO in 2008. She was a member of the South West Action Team CB Club and New Life Free Will Baptist Church.
On June 4, 1966 in Monett, she married Roy Moore. To this union, three children were born.
She is survived by one daughter, Joni (Donny) Potter of Monett; two grandchildren; as well as three nieces; two nephews; a great-niece and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one son, Roy Moore, Jr.; one daughter, and son-in-law, Rosalie and Mark Burns; two grandchildren; and one sister, Celia Smith.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 10, at Buchanan Funeral Home with Deny Lemaster, Minister, officiating. Interment followed at Arnhart Cemetery in Purdy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
