Judy F. Bounous

Judy F. Bounous, 70, of Monett passed away Saturday morning, Jan. 8, 2022 at home.
Bounous was born July 30, 1951, at Okarche, Okla., born to the late George and Mabel (Curtis) Banther. She was a graduate of Aurora High School Class of 1969. She was a bus driver for Oakdale State School for many years, she loved being the students’ chauffeur. She taught Sunday school. Bounous was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader serving that position for over 20 years. She attended the New Hope Fundamental Methodist Church in Monett.
Bounous is survived by her husband, John, of the home; one son, Andy Bounous of Monett; one daughter, Kasi Bounous of Monett; one brother, David Banther  (Ernestine) of Aurora and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charlie, Roy, and Carl Banther.
Memorial visitation to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30-3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Waldensian Cemetery. Pastor Jeremy Wilson will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Hope Fundamental Methodist Church in Monett. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
