LORAINE ELIZABETH STAPONSKI

Loraine Elizabeth Staponski, 93, of Monett passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at Lacoba Homes in Monett. She was born in Monett on Thursday, Dec. 4, 1930; the daughter of Andy and Elsie (Friday) Staponski.
She was a 1949 graduate of Pierce City High School. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was involved in the PCCW serving in many areas of need.
She is survived by three nephews: Randy (Denise) Staponski of Wentworth, Bud (Brenda) Staponski of Warsaw and Joe Staponski of Excelsior Springs; two nieces, JoNelle (Larry) Moennig of Wentworth and Ann Elgin (Brian) of Kansas City; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Mary Beth Staponski; a niece-in-law, Vollie Staponski; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Earle (Rose Anne) Staponski and Ben (Burhl) Staponski
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield . Rosary will begin at 11 a.m. and a memorial funeral Mass will be after the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. with Father Paul Pudhota officiating. Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Pulaskifield.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
