Maetta June Coones

Maetta June Coones, 94, of Cassville passed away May 6, 2021 in her home.
She was born Aug. 12, 1926 in Cato the daughter of George T. and Olivia (Bradley) Blythe. On April 24, 1947 in Columbus, Kan. she was united in marriage to Gene Coones, who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 2017.  Also preceding her in death were her parents and brothers, Bob Blythe and Wayne Blythe.
Surviving are sons, Mike (Nevada) Coones and Lyn (Tonya) Coones all of Cassville; daughters, Connie (Charles) Lauderdale of Purdy and Gail (Ken) Byrd of Cassville; 11 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Coones was a lifelong resident of Barry County and graduated from Cassville High School.
Services were held May 10, 2021 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial was held at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins.
The family received friends until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
