MARJORIE DELORES ROE

Marjorie Delores Roe, 96, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie. She was born April 4, 1928, in Cassville; the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Ova Luvica (Patton) Luney.
She grew up and attended school in the Oak Ridge Community on her family farm.
On Aug. 16, 1958, she married Harvey J. Roe in Eureka Springs, Ark.
They built their home on a small property in Eagle Rock in 1968 and she resided there until 2022.
She worked for The Cassville Manufacturing Company for years as a cutter.
She is survived by seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey; her parents; her son, Terry Luney; daughter, Cheryl (Gritton) Lowe; brothers: Verlan Luney, Archie Luney, Kenneth Luney, Victor Luney and Woodrow Luney; her sister, Erple Patton; grandson, Loren Lowe III; and great-grandson, Mason Lowe.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home. Brother Tony Ball conducted the service.
