Marsha Elaine Dorrance

Marsha Elaine Dorrance, 61, of Stotts City passed away Feb. 25, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. She was born May 28, 1959, in Kansas City the daughter of Elba Ammonette and Vernita Lucille (Robinett) Roark.
She was a 1978 graduate of Northeast High School in Kansas City and was a homemaker.
On May 17, 1986, she married Jerry William Dorrance, in Kansas City.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years; son, Jerry E. Dorrance of Mt. Vernon; daughter, Heather (Guy) Cunningham of La Russell; four grandchildren; brother, Elba Gene (Kathleen) Roark; sisters, Linda Reitz, Alice (David) Haynes, Sharon Hyde, Sandra Nolen, Kathy (Alan) Fenwick, Sheila (Larry) Harrison and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson and brothers-in-law, Brent Reitz, Michael Hyde and Belton Nolen.
A celebration of  life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Due to COVID-19, the family has requested for those attending the services to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing. Memorials may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
