Kelley McMillan

Monett City Council voted unanimously in closed session on Nov. 14 to appoint Kelley McMillan to the position of City Clerk.
McMillan has served the City of Monett, first working in dispatch in 2019, then as administrative assistant in 2021 and finally as deputy city clerk in 2022. She took on the role and Emergency Manager, in addition to her deputy clerk duties, in 2023. McMillan stepped in as Interim City Clerk following the retirement of Angie Irwin in August of 2024.
As City Clerk, McMillan is responsible for documenting and taking minutes at Monett City Council meetings, drafting city resolutions and ordinances, and communicating with city staff, department heads, and the Council.
“We are glad to announce that Kelley has been appointed as the full-time City Clerk,” said Monett Mayor Randy Burke. “She has displayed the experience and skills that we as the City Council need to continue serving the community.”
