MICHAEL L. BRENNER

Michael L. Brenner, 76, of Mt. Vernon passed away on April 15, 2024. He was born on July 4, 1947, in Topeka, Kan., to Gerald Lewis Brenner and Georgia Lee (Peterman) Brenner.
He graduated from Marionville High School. He enlisted in the US Navy and was honorably discharged. He then began his career with Alton Box Company, now Smurfit-Stone Containers, where he was employed over 30 years. He was blessed with three daughters, Angie, Tammy, and Amy. He added three sons when he married Wanda Royster on April 26, 1997. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marionville for over 40 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda; children, Angie Brenner-Norris, Tammy (Jimmy) Ash, Amy Brenner (Aaron Busby), Joe Supplee, John (Angela) Supplee and Dustin (Holly) Royster; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Lee Soutee and her husband Doug Soutee, who came into Mike’s life when he was 15 and was a father figure to him.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at Meadors Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to First Baptist Church’s Children’s Camp Fund (301 S College Ave, Marionville, MO 65705).
