MICHAEL S. HENDRICKSON

Michael S. Hendrickson, 67, of Purdy passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. He was born in Riverside, Calif. on Nov. 28, 1957; the son of Wayne Norman Hendrickson and Thelma Edith (Franks) Hendrickson.
During his junior year, his family moved to Wheaton where he attended and graduated from Wheaton High School in 1976. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged on Jan. 12, 1978. Following these duties, he furthered his education at the Bryan Institute, earning a degree in Computer Science.
On August 4, 1980, he married Melissa Jean Hemphill in Wichita, Kan. In 1986, the family moved to Purdy, where he began a 30 year career with Play Power as a welder.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa; one son, Wayne (Rebecca) Hendrickson of Harrison, Ark.; two daughters Nicole (Kelly) Patton of Purdy and Heather (Ryan) Ratliff of Exeter; two brothers, Daryl (Christa) Hendrickson of California and Gary Hendrickson of Springfield; one sister, Cheryl (John) McCaffrey of Wichita, Kan. and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services were held on April 14, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Military honors were rendered. Deny Lemaster officiated.
Arrangements were entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett.
