The Miller Cardinals saw their two-game win streak end thanks to a road trip near the Arkansas border where they took on the Southwest Trojans.
The Trojans have had a tremendous season up to this point behind their defensive prowess and veteran leadership. Miller struggled offensively as shots were not falling for the cardinals and that allowed the Trojans to build a lead that Miller was unable to overcome. The Cardinals fell in Washburn 66-43.
The Cardinals fall to 13-9 overall with just one week left in the regular season. The Cardinals celebrated senior night, Monday against Greenfield before traveling to Marionville, Tuesday to take on the Marionville Comets. Class 2 District 12 play will begin on Feb. 20. Miller received the No. 2 seed and will play 7-seed Thomas Jefferson at College Heights Christian School at Joplin.
