Miller girls extend winning streak to nine

The Miller Lady Cardinals are finishing the season with some of their best play as they took three more SWC games last week, convincingly. They opened the week with a 57-14 win over Pleasant Hope on Monday. They followed with a 49-30 win over 14-8 Stockton, Tuesday. They wrapped up the week with a 67-18 win over Lockwood Thursday night on Senior Night and Win For Ben night.
The three wins move Miller to 20-3 going into their final regular season matchup that was played at Marionville on Tuesday.

Districts
The Lady Cardinals were also named the top seed in the Class 2, District 12 tournament tipping off Feb. 19. The Lady Cardinals, however, will not be in action until Feb. 21, as a first-round bye sees them taking on the winner of the 4-5 matchup between Wheaton and Verona.

Miller Cardinals
The Miller boys team had a less impressive, however, as they went 1-2, beating Pleasant Hope, 51-33, on Monday. They then fell to the top-seed in the Class 3, District 13 tournament, Stockton, but only by one point, 39-38. They finished up the week against the Lockwood Tigers in another great game, but ultimately fell 31-25.
The boys fall to 6-16 on the season as they will have two games this week to wrap up the regular season. They took on Greenfield at home on Monday, and traveled to Marionville, Tuesday. They will open district play as the No. 4 seed against Purdy at 3 p.m. Saturday in Verona.
