Mt. Vernon’s Bieber signs to play softball at NEO A&M College

On Wednesday, Nov. 20, Mt. Vernon High School senior Cheyenne Bieber signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and softball career as a Lady Norse at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College a Division 1 Junior College in Miami, Okla. Beiber plans to major in business.
This year will be her fourth as a member of the Lady Mt’neers varsity softball team. Bieber is a two-time 1st Team All-State outfielder and is also a proud member of the 2023 Class 2 state championship team. She is also a pitcher for the team.
Along with softball, she has also been a member of the Mt. Vernon varsity volleyball team (20-22), varsity basketball team and the Squad.
Along with excelling athletically she excels academically; she currently holds a 3.7 GPA, is also in the dual credit program through Crowder College, and is a member of National Honor Society.
Coach Matt Schubert said, “Cheyenne has grown a lot as a player and teammate over the last four years. She is a great competitor and has a great drive to beat her opponent. NEO has signed a really good player who should help them right away in the outfield.”
