Annual Fourth of July firework show returns with a bang
Mt. Vernon’s annual Fourth of July celebration Red, White and BOOM celebrated its 22nd year with a spectacular fireworks show, courtesy of A & M Pyrotechnics, the evening of Friday, June 28 at Mt. Vernon’s Spirit of ’76 Park.
This year, due to park expansion, some of the event’s traditional attractions were not present at the festival, such as Laser Tag, VIP and overflow parking, or food trucks. However, the pool did offer free swim that day, and concessions were available at the pool and the ballfield.
