PAUL EDWARD MCCRACKEN

Paul Edward McCracken, 92, of Pierce City passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born in Cassville on Monday, June 27, 1932; the son of Earl Samuel and Marie (Pruitt) McCracken.
He attended Purdy Schools and, after high school, served in the Army.
He married Viola Williams on Saturday, Feb. 2, 1952, in Cassville. He managed garment factories for several years and helped a lot of people with small engine repair, most of the time at no charge.
He is survived by two sons, Keith (Brenda) McCracken and Darrell (Kim) McCracken; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Hemphill; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola; two brothers, Raydon McCracken and Junior McCracken; four sisters: Nadine Thomas, Wilma Brafford, Betty Doss, and Ruby Martin; and one great-grandson, Greyson Shelfer.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield with Pastor Robert Bradow officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
