Sheriff’s Office asks for help in identifying thief
The Casey’s convenience store in Pierce City was robbed on Wednesday, June 26.
According to a report from a Pierce City police officer, a man wearing a black surgical mask walked into the store at around 6:20 p.m. He handed an employee a white paper bag with a note that read, “Put money in the bag.” The store manager put money from the cash register into the bag and handed it to the man, who then left the store on foot, walking east. A white Impala without license plates was later seen driving west from the direction in which the man had gone.
Officers searched the area for the man but were unsuccessful in finding him. The suspect was described as 5’10” and wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and glasses, in addition to the surgical mask.
