ROBERT W. “BOB” EGAN

Robert W. “Bob” Egan, 83, passed away on March 11, 2024, after a long battle with kidney disease. He was born on June 17, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Robert and Elizabeth Egan.
He shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Marsha (Brolin) Egan and together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, nurturing a bond that stood the test of time.
He was a proud marine, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his life. His service to his country was a source of great pride and exemplified his selflessness. He was a dedicated professional in the trucking industry, most notably with Schneider International. His commitment to his work was matched only by his kindness and integrity.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; his children: Bob Jr (Stacy) Egan, Daniel (Sara) Egan, Jeff (Stan Leskie) Egan, and Jennifer (Chris) Banker; his honorary son and nephew, Kyle Egan; his seven grandchildren and their spouses; four great-grandchildren; his siblings, Judy (Ted) Kiraly and Lynn (Steve) Composto,  Bill Egan, and Mary Sievert; and his sisters-in-law of Debbi  Egan, Nancy Egan, and Ted Sievert; as well as his countless nieces, nephews, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mike Egan.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 14, at Aurora United Methodist Church.
