Rosemary Peterson

Rosemary Peterson, 86, of Aurora, passed away March 2, 2019, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
She was born March 24, 1932, in Aurora. Peterson was a member of the Presbyterian Church for 61 years. At her time in the church she played many roles such as an elder of the church and the Moses’ basket diaper pantry She was an independent salon owner working out of her own home. She later went on to work for the state as a beauty shop inspector for 20 years leading to her retirement in 1997. After her retirement she enjoyed stained glass art, painting, working at country music shows in Branson, taking care of her granddaughter as she grew up and providing a loving home for many dogs over the years.
Peterson is survived by: her son, Bill Peterson of Springfield and one granddaughter.
A visitation was held March 6, 2019 in the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora. Graveside services followed in Maple Park Cemetery under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 4 E. College St., Aurora, MO., 65605.
