Roy Elwood Moore

Roy Elwood Moore, 79, of Monett passed away May 3, 2021, while at the Cassville Health and Rehab Center in Cassville.
Moore was born on April 26, 1942 in Berryville, Ark., son of the late Johnie and Clara (Smith) Moore. Moore had worked for MFA in Aurora before his 20-plus year career at Tyson Foods, retiring in 2005. Moore was a member of the South West Action Team CB Club and New Life Free Will Baptist Church.
On June 4, 1966 in Monett, he married Josephine Marie “Jodie” Eldridge. To this union, three children were born.
Moore is survived by his wife of 55 years; daughter, Joni (Danny) Potter of Monett; two grandchildren; brothers, Ivan Moore of Verona, Russell Moore of Hernando Beach, Fla., Bob (Louise) Moore of Cassville, Ricky Moore of Cassville, Furlen (Nancy) Moore of Purdy, Jerry Moore of Pierce City and Claude (Martha) Moore of Verona; sisters, Eula May Gates of Chelsea, Okla. and Linda (Richard) Mayer of American Falls, Idaho as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Moore was preceded in death by son, Roy Elwood Moore, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie Josephine and Mark Burns and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 10, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Interment followed at Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy. Visitation was held until service time on Monday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
