Susie Schiska

Susie Schiska, 70, of Pierce City, passed away Aug. 27, 2019 at her home. Schiska was born in Tulsa, Okla. Jan. 7, 1949. She was the daughter of James and Margurette (Reed) Hankins. Schiska was married to Edward Schiska June 5, 1971 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2019.  Schiska enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren). She lived in Pierce City all her life and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Schiska loved her dogs-Parker and Muffin. She will be missed by them and many others.
Surviving are the following: daughters, Melissa Leech of Monett and Amy Lombard of Overland Park, Kan.; sister, Becky Long of Monett; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Private graveside services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City, Aug. 30, 2019 Burial followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pierce City. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home.
