Theodore Mischke Jr.

Theodore Mischke Jr., 88, of Wentworth, passed away Aug. 29, 2019, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. Mischke was born in Lake Grove Township, Minn. on Aug. 4, 1931. He was the son of Theodore and Cora (Kjolberg) Mischke. He was married to Marlene Berg Dec. 8, 1956 in Vesa, Minn.; she preceded him in death. Mischke attended the Lutheran church for many years.
Mischke loved to hunt. He went deer hunting every year in Northern Minnesota. He also enjoyed traveling. Mischke made several trips to Yellowstone and Canada, went to Alaska many times, and enjoyed camping. He would often take drives looking for wildlife. He liked watching it as much as he enjoyed hunting. He did many two week fly-in trips to islands in Alaska, as well.
Surviving are the following: son, Alan Mischke of Randolph, Minn.; daughters, Debra Mischke of Seattle, Wash. and Valerie Skym of Wentworth; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; and brothers, Murray, Dean, Terry, Leslie, and Curt.
