VANESSA RAE PURYEAR

Vanessa Rae Puryear, 63, of Cassville passed away on May 2, 2025, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark.  She was born in Adrian, Mich. on July 28, 1961; the daughter of Travis and Katherine (Barnett) Hornsby.
She grew up in Adrian, Mich. and graduated from Adrian High School in 1979. She worked at Harris Baking in Rogers, Ark. until she retired after 24 years. On Dec. 25, 2002, she married Danny Puryear in Las Vegas, Nev. They shared 13 years together before he passed away on May 13, 2016.
She is survived by her mother, Katherine of Adrian, Mich.; boyfriend, David Gentry of Cassville; one son, Jeremy (Machele) Cotton and one daughter, Kathleen (Simon) Russell all of Seligman; one brother, William (Margie) Hornsby of Adrian, Mich.; three sisters: Peggy Timmerman of Adrian, Mich., Teresa (Harvey) Franklin of Conway, S.C. and Lorie Bailey also of Adrian, Mich.; four grandchildren and another on the way and very close friend, Jeannie Williams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny; her father and her brother-in-law, Steve Bailey.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
