William “Bill” Forester

William “Bill” Forester passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on July 15, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, to Olie and Louise (Johnson) Forester.
The family moved back to Missouri when Bill was a toddler, making their home in Marionville, Missouri. Bill had many fond memories of attending the Lone Star school, south of Marionville, and living in the Bonham area.
Bill graduated from Marionville High School in 1959 and served in the US Army for two years, mainly stationed in Panama. He spent his life working in the trucking and lumber business and retired from Journagan’s True Value Hardware store in Aurora in 2013. In his later years, Bill was a fixture at the coffee shop every morning and enjoyed catching up on the news and telling tall tales with his many friends. He loved hearing about his grandkid’s activities, and he loved watching the Royals and Cardinals play baseball.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Whitney (Brent) Depee, and Lynn Moore; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Hankins (Lane), Dalton Depee (Cecilia), Dayne Depee, Colin Moore, and Griffin Moore; one great-grandson, Emmett Hankins and two nephews, Chris Wilson and Jody Lane.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Olie and Louise Forester and one sister, Judy Allen.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, Missouri.
