Thelma Lois Barnes, 88, of rural Mt. Vernon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri following a sudden illness. Thelma was born on April 26, 1937, in Leesville, Louisiana; the daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Farmer) LaCombe.

Genevieve Sperandio, 92, of Verona passed away on Feb. 28, 2025. She was born in Minnesota on May 25, 1932.
She married Lawrence Sperandio, Jr. on April 19, 1973.
She was a nurse and homemaker and a member of Verona's Sacred Heart church.

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Hazel Runyan, 91, of Eagle Rock passed away in Rogers, Ark. on Saturday, April 20, 2025. She was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on June 8, 1933; the daughter of A.L. “Brownie” and Ila (Waters) Armstrong.
On May 9, 1973 she married Richard “Dick” Runyan.
